Specific Membership Requirements:
- Male descendant, including step-sons and adopted sons of a member of The American Legion.
- Male descendant, including step-sons and adopted sons of a veteran who died in service during WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, or the Persian Gulf War.
- Male descendant, including step-sons and adopted sons of a veteran wh died subsequent to his/her honorable discharge from service during WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Lebanon, Grenada, Panama, or the Persian Gulf war.
Active Duty Service Eligibility Dates:
S.A.L applicants should use the dates found on the Sons of the American Legion Eligibility page to determine if their parents or grandparents are/were eligible for membership in The American Legion
