Pictures-5th District American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Contest 

5th District American Legion Oratorical Scholarship Contest was held Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Derby Middle School, Derby, KS. Host of this year’s 5th District Contest was John M. West American Legion Post 408, Derby/Haysville, KS. 5th District Oratorical Chairman-Eduardo Mendoza. Winners: 1st Place-Shelby Konkel, 2nd Place-Ryan Jones, 3rd Place-Lucy Orsi. The American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit 408 hosted a luncheon at Post 408 following the contest. Congratulations to all on a job well done!!
