We have been asked to do a send off for a young airman who is being deployed for the 1st time. He is the son of a VFW/Legion member who has recently moved to Derby. The send off will be on Sunday 9/3. We can meet at the post at 1530 hrs (3:30 pm) and leave about 1545 hrs. We will stop enroute to flag up. The house is in the 5700 S. Joel Ln area which is a dirt road so we will take our time to get there. Dad will have a concrete area for us to park on. VFW/Legion and all patriots are welcome to wish him good luck and safe travels. Friday out... - View Post
